6th of October City

6th of October City is one of Egypt’s major planned cities, located in the Giza Governorate just west of Cairo. It was established in 1979 as part of the government’s strategy to reduce population pressure on the capital and create new urban and industrial hubs.

The city is known for its well-planned layout, wide roads, and large residential compounds, offering a quieter and more organized lifestyle compared to central Cairo. It includes a mix of affordable housing, luxury compounds, and gated communities, making it attractive to different income levels.

6th of October City is also a major industrial and commercial center, hosting one of Egypt’s largest industrial zones, along with universities, hospitals, shopping malls, and business districts.

Thanks to its strategic location near the Cairo–Alexandria Desert Road and Ring Road, it provides easy access to Cairo, Sheikh Zayed, and other parts of West Cairo, making it both a residential and investment hotspot.
